Acrosss the country, over a dozen women have accused Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa of failing to address sexual assault. In civil lawsuits and police reports, the women say they were victimized by Hand and Stone employees, many of whom should never have been working at the franchise in the first place.
Florida Lawyers For Massage Sexual Assault Survivors
American businesses have a strong legal duty to protect their clients from dangerous sexual predators. That's especially true of massage spas, where women go to relax and must be able to trust the massage therapists with whom they work.
Clients are at their most vulnerable during a massage. But in a number of civil lawsuits, plaintiffs accuse Hand and Stone of violating that duty on multiple occasions, in a pattern of horrific violations.

Sexual Assault Allegations, Convictions Against Hand & Stone Employees
Before moving to Massage Envy, Cesar Guerrero was an employee of the Hand and Stone franchise location in Clermont. 26-years-old, Guerrero was convicted in March 2018 for sexually assaulting one of his clients. But according to a recent civil lawsuit, Guerrero's pattern of criminal behavior began far earlier, perhaps before he was even working at Hand and Stone. In her lawsuit, a woman says that, during a 2015 massage at Hand and Stone's Clermont franchise, she was sexually assaulted by the man.
Carlos Amador pleaded guilty to one count of battery after being accused of inappropriate sexual touching while he worked at the Hand and Stone in Naples. He was forced to surrender his massage license. In the same month, two other massage therapists who worked at Hand and Stone locations in Florida were unilaterally stripped of their massage licenses due to sexual offenses.
Carlos Ysrael Lamos, who was accused of nonconsensually disrobing a female client, making inappropriate comments about her body and spreading her buttocks, worked at the same Naples location as Carlos Amador. David Nazario was accused of fondling a client's breasts and touching her vagina during a massage session, in violation of Florida law.
