About Ervin's work for survivors

About Ervin's work for survivors

As the designated Illinois Abuse Guardian, Ervin focuses his abuse practice on the institutions where children and vulnerable adults are most often harmed — daycare and childcare settings, schools and boarding schools, religious organizations, youth sports programs, and medical offices. He approaches each case with the understanding that a survivor's decision to come forward is theirs alone, and that the legal process should follow your pace, not the other way around.

His courtroom experience is built on a plaintiff-side practice that has recovered tens of millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for injured people and families across Illinois. He speaks regularly at American Association for Justice national conventions and Illinois Trial Lawyers Association seminars, including on connecting with diverse juries — work that directly informs how he presents survivors' cases to the people who decide them.
