Common questions
What survivors often want to know
Is it too late to do anything about abuse from years ago?
Often, no. Many states have extended their deadlines or opened look-back windows for sexual abuse claims, including abuse from long ago. The only way to know your situation is a free, confidential review.
Do I have to report to the police to get legal help?
No. A civil claim is separate from the criminal system. You do not need a police report, an arrest, or a conviction to speak with an attorney or to pursue accountability and compensation.
Will talking to someone cost me anything?
No. Support hotlines are free, and a case review with our network is free and confidential. Attorneys work on contingency — no fee unless they win.
Can I stay anonymous?
Your first conversation is private, and in many cases survivors can file using their initials or a pseudonym. You control how much you share and when.
