Michael A. Haggard is a Florida trial lawyer and the managing partner of The Haggard Law Firm, P.A. in Coral Gables. Admitted to The Florida Bar in 1996, he earned his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 1995 and his B.S. from Florida State University in 1992, where he was a Dean's List Scholar. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Society of Barristers, and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He has long focused his practice on serious civil cases, including those brought by crime victims and survivors of violence, and is admitted before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida.

Michael's practice has long centered on people who were harmed by the failures of others, including survivors of sex crimes, victims of violent crime, and families let down by inadequate security. He has served on the Board of Directors of the National Crime Victim Bar Association since 2009 and served as its President in 2018, an organization dedicated to the civil representation of crime victims, including survivors of sexual violence.
Through his affiliation with the Abuse Guardians network, Michael takes on Florida sexual abuse and crime victim matters with the same trial-tested approach he brings to his other complex cases. He has also testified before Congress on victim and public safety issues, reflecting a career spent advocating for people whose voices are too often overlooked.
