Horsham is a census-designated place of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Located at the geographical coordinates of 40.178333 degrees north latitude and 75.128611 degrees west longitude, it completely lies within Horsham Township. As of the 2010 census, the CDP has a population of 14,842 people and a total area of 5.5 square miles. Pennsylvania State Road 611 (Easton Road) runs north to southeast through the area.
Owned by the Department of Defense, Horsham Air Guard Station is controlled by the Pennsylvania Air National Guard and operated by the U.S. Air Force. The College Settlement Camp provides a perfect outdoor space for the Community, Youth Group, School and Church. Established in 1889, it wasn't until 1992 that the College Settlement of Philadelphia purchased the 235-acre Farm Camp property in Horsham, which includes the headwaters of the Pennypack Watershed. The mission of the organization is to offer summer camp programs to economically disadvantaged and all other children in the Greater Philadelphia area from 7 to 14 years of age. Today, the campground features overnight and day camping from June through August, summer camps, and outdoor school programs during the spring and fall. Families can get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the healthy outdoor setting.
Lukens Park is a community park in Horsham on Dresher Road. Operated by the Horsham Township Department of Library and Recreation Services, it includes three adult softball fields, one basketball court that could be used for wheelchair basketball, an outdoor fitness court, a pavilion, walking trails, and the Everybody's Playground. Residents and visitors can enjoy the 50.68-acre recreation space, as well as the nearby 5.3-mile Power Line Trail.
