Dr. Joseph Fernando served as a pediatrician in Poplar Bluff and Dexter, Missouri for over 21 years treating infants, children and adolescents. In early February 2021, he was arrested by the Dexter Police and has since retired from Women's Health Specialists where he had been affiliated.
Dr. Fernando faces first-degree statutory sodomy for the alleged sexual assault of a boy under 14 years old in November 2020 in Dexter, Missouri.
