The Potawatomi Zoo is a zoological park in River Park. Nested in Potawatomi Park, the 23-acre zoological park is the oldest zoo in Indiana. It was founded in 1921 and features more than 400 animals. Its exhibits include Africa, Asia, Australian Outback, Cat House, Learning Center, The Americas and Zoo Farm. The zoo welcomes over 200,000 visitors annually and has been accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. It also provides other attractions like the Endangered Species Carousel and the historic CP Huntington electric train.
