For those who want to learn how to skate, a Skate School is in the process of being created to teach children how to skate. The roller skating rink is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays from 6 to 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Saturdays from 12 to 3 p.m., 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., and 7 to 10 p.m. Sundays from 3 to 6 p.m., 6:30 to 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Mondays are closed for private events.
Eagle Creek Park is a recreational park just to the northwest of North High School. Featuring over 1,400 acres of water and 3,900 acres of forest, it offers various activities for visitors to enjoy, including biking, hiking, fishing, boating and more. The facilities provided at the park are the Eagle Creek Park Swimming Area, Eagle Creek Park Marina, Eagle Creek Dog Park, Eagle Creek Park Nature Center, Peace Learning Center, GoApe, Eagle Creek Golf Club, Indy Rowing Center, Rick's Boatyard Café, and Eagle Creek Sailing Club. Supported by the Eagle Creek Park Foundation, it is open daily from dawn to dusk. If you're lucky, visitors of the park can sometimes catch a glimpse of a bald eagle.
