Zionsville is a town in the southeasternmost section of Boone County, Indiana. Named after pioneer settler William Zion, it was laid out in 1852 as the railroad extended to the area. In 1861, while traveling to his inauguration, Abraham Lincoln made a whistle-stop speech in the town. Today, Zionsville is a tourist attraction centered on the village-styled downtown area of the suburban town. In 2019, its population was estimated at 28,357 people. The town provides easy access to North Michigan Road (U.S. Route 421) and Highway 52 (Interstate 865).
