Desert Ridge is a community in the Northeast Valley of Phoenix, Arizona. Encompassing 5,700 acres of land, it is one of the largest master-planned communities in Arizona. The historical timeline of the area is as follows:

Desert Ridge Marketplace

Desert Ridge Marketplace is an outdoor super-regional shopping mall in Desert Ridge. Constructed by Vestar Development Co., it was opened to the public in December of 2001. The mall caters to upscale residents in Desert Ridge, the Northeast Valley of Phoenix and Scottsdale. JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa

JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa is a five-star hotel owned by Marriott International in Desert Ridge. Home to the largest hotel– 950 rooms – in the state of Arizona, it also includes 252 time-share unities, restaurants and bars, 17 pickleball courts, five pools, a lazy river, an on-site day spa, a conference center, and the Wildlife Golf Club with a 36-hole championship golf course. The room options provided at the resort are the Guest Room, Fire Pit, JW Griffin Club, Junior Suite, 1 Bedroom Executive Suite, and 1 Bedroom Presidential Suite. Pricing ranges from $600 to over $1,000 per night.

Cashman Park

Cashman Park is a city park in Desert Ridge on North 44th Street. Locals in the area love coming here to play some sports, hang out with family and friends and relax. It offers recreational amenities like two lighted basketball courts, two lighted sand volleyball courts, a fitness course, a shaded playground, a multipurpose field, two small ramadas with two tables and a grill, one large ramada with four tables, and drinking fountains and restrooms. Managed by the City of Phoenix Department Parks and Recreation, it is open every day from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
