Communities within proximity to Great Bridge East are Great Bridge, Dove Acres, Butts Station, Fentress, Albemarle Acres, Albemarle Farms, Pleasant Grove West, Greenbrier West and Greenbrier East.

It features 22 multipurpose fields, a restroom building and paved parking. Local soccer clubs and residents in the area are often seen utilizing the park for organized activities or simple family fun times. If funding becomes available, the city plans on expanding Centerville Park to include a dog park, BMX and Skate Park, community center, and more.
